KTM IS recalling the 2017 390 Duke and 125 Duke over a possible faulty headlight which 'may lead to potentially dangerous riding situations'.

The firm said in a statement this morning that tests had found 'cases of sporadic reboots' of the LED headlight and that customers have been asked to contact an authorised dealer for a free software update.

The statement said: 'During the internal endurance testing, KTM experienced some cases of sporadic reboots of the LED headlight. As this may lead to potentially dangerous riding situations, the software of the headlight needs to be updated as soon as possible.

'Customers of affected motorcycles have been informed by a personal letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorised KTM street dealer to arrange an appointment. In addition, customers can check online in the Service area on the KTM website if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.

'The free-of-charge software update can only be carried out by authorised KTM street dealers.'
