Honda CB125R revealed
Learner-legal offering in Honda’s new retro-inspired naked-bike range
HONDA has unveiled not one but three new retro-inspired naked bikes in Milan tonight, and this is the smallest, the CB125R.
It’s got a single-cylinder liquid cooled engine derived from the CBR125R’s, making 13hp and 7.3lbft, and housed in a new tubular and pressed steel chassis.
Claimed wet weight is 125.8kg, and it’s got a 41mm upside-down fork, pre-load-adjustable monoshock and a four-piston brake caliper on a floating 296mm front disc. At the rear is a single-piston caliper on a 220mm disc.
Like the bigger CB300R, it also boasts an inertial measurement unit to ‘give precise front to rear distribution of ABS operation depending on the vehicle behaviour’.
Other features include LED lighting and an LCD dash with a rev-counter, fuel gauge and gear position indicator.
It was unveiled ahead of this week’s Eicma motorcycle show, along with the CB300R and CB1000R, making a whole new familiarly similarly minimalist-styled Honda naked bikes.
