Husqvarna updates FS 450 for 2017
Competition-spec FS 450 gets new WP forks and traction control
HUSQVARNA has updated its track-only FS 450 supermoto, which it says offers ‘a notable leap forward in terms of performance and technology.’
Visually, it looks much the same as the existing FS 450, but with some graphics changes to differentiate it.
The main change to the 2017 FS 450 is that it's been kitted out with WP AER 48 forks, which have 5mm more travel (up to 285mm) and are a claimed 1.66kg lighter than the forks on the current bike while offering easier access for adjustment. The top triple clamp has also been redesigned and the bars have been given new mounting clamps.
The 2017 FS 450 also gets new engine mounts which Husky says improve suspension performance and reduce weight.
Although the 63hp, 450cc single-cylinder engine remains unchanged, the FS 450 now comes with traction control, which can be controlled through a new bar-mounted map switch, which is also responsible for activating the 450’s launch control.
