Provisional 2014 World Superbike calendar released

A PROVISIONAL 14-round World Superbike calendar for 2014 has been released today by the FIM including two brand new additions and an unnamed overseas circuit. 

There are a number of changes compared to the 2013 calendar as two new circuits have been proposed: Sepang, Malaysia and South Africa's Phakisa Freeway although both are subject to contract.

The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Italy has been reinstated after losing its place on the calendar in 2013 and will replace the Monza event. Donington is now the sole British round as Silverstone has been completely removed from the calendar as well as the Nurburgring and Istanbul Park.

23rd February Australia, Phillip Island GP Circuit

13th April Spain, Motorland Aragón

27th April The Netherlands, Assen

11th May Italy, Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari de Imola

25th May UK, Donington Park

8th June Malaysia, Sepang Interational Circuit - Subject to contract

22nd June Italy, Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli 

6th July Portugal, Autódromo Internacional do Algarve

13th July USA, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca - Subject to contract

7th September Spain, Circuito de Jerez

21st September Russia, Moscow Raceway

5th October France, Circtui de Magny-Cours

19th October South Africa, Phakisa Freeway - Subject to contract

2nd November Overseas - To be confirmed
