15. Husqvarna 1301

16 big new model launches to expect at this autumn’s motorcycle shows

All Husqvarnas are closely based on existing models from KTM, in this case the 1290 Super Duke R.

We described the 1301 as a ‘power-cruiser’ when it appeared in spy shots, because it reminded us a bit of the Ducati Diavel, but some readers disagreed, saying it was closer to café racer.

Decide for yourself.

Where: Probably Intermot in Cologne, Germany, on October 4

16. Honda Bulldog

A slightly longer shot to finish on, but we’re still very hopeful of seeing this one.

Revealed as a concept in 2015, the scrambler-ish Bulldog is based on the CB400F, which is essentially the Japanese-market version of our CB500F.

Honda filed patents for the design earlier this year, suggesting an intention to produce it.

Where: Probably Eicma in Milan, Italy, on November 8

What else?

There’s always almost too many new bikes to list at Eicma and Intermot, and that preceding machines are really just the biggest developments we know about.

Other stuff we know about includes a face-lifted KTM 1290 Super Adventure, seen in spy shots; an updated Honda Africa Twin and maybe a new Suzuki Hayabusa. The old 'Busa must go out of production under new emission limits and Suzuki hinted at plans for a replacement with its weird 'Concept GSX', pictured above, last September.

Let's hope.
