Rare Benelli 250 goes up for auction

BONHAMS will be auctioning this rare 1958 Benelli 250 GP racer at their Las Vegas sale on the 12th of January 2012.

The 1958 Benelli single-cylinder, 250cc Grand Prix Factory racer is one of only four made and one of just three surviving.

Formerly the property of famed Italian motorcycle manufacturer, race team owner, restorer and collector Giancarlo Morbidelli, this extremely rare competition machine is, according to the auctioneers, the epitome of period Italian racing prowess and ingenuity.

Get your chequebook out, it'll probably go for around £200,000.
