Trackhouse Racing has revealed its 2025 MotoGP livery, but it’s not the Gulf one we were all hoping for

A little over a month ago the Visordown office was buzzing at the thought of a Gulf-livered MotoGP race bike in 2025, after the petroleum company signed a sponsorship deal with the Trackhouse Racing Team.

What we wanted...
What we wanted...

This immediately had us daydreaming about a curvaceous Aprilia RSGP wearing the same colour scheme that has adorned such racing royalty as the Porsche 917, Ford GT40 and the beautiful McLaren F1 LM.

What we got...
What we got...

We were awoken from that rather pleasant reverie this evening after the Trackhouse racing team finally pulled the wraps off its 2025 contender. And while there is some Gulf branding to be seen, the small sticker on the front mudguard of the machine isn’t quite the pastel blue and orange loveliness we expected - especially given that Trackhouse lists Gulf as an “Official Partner”.

And there’s another issue with the bike that’s been revealed, in that it seems to be devoid of any other sponsors, with the only other branding being the Trackhouse name and weird circular logo. The sparse design has prompted some fans on social media to poke a bit of fun at the colourway, with some likening the look of the bike to the start of career mode in the MotoGP game. You know, when you’ve not figured out the buttons quite yet, crash at every corner and therefore can’t woo any sponsors! Others have likened the look to that of the now sadly departed Suzuki, with many highlighting that all that’s missing is some Rizla sponsorship on the fairing, although I can’t really see that myself.

We could also be jumping the gun a bit here, as on closer inspection the new livery on the bike seems to have been rather hurriedly applied. If you look at the above, you can still see the old stars and stripes livery hidden below the vinyl. We live in hope.

So, MotoGP 2025 has its first livery.
