Deal: Save £2.5k on Ex Demo Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
This ex-demo Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 can be had for just £4,099, but better yet, its only amassed 160 miles on the clock
One of Royal Enfield’s most notable bikes from its substantial 650 range is the Interceptor 650. To buy new they represent great value, but this example, finished in Black Pearl can save you £2,500 and it’s nearly new from MandP.
Comprising an inline twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the Interceptor 650 produces 46.8bhp at 7,250rpm and 38.5Ib ft of torque at 5,150rpm. With a displacement of 648cc, the Interceptor 650 shares the same engine to that of the Continental GT, Shotgun 650 and recently released Bear 650.
Similarities between the two models continue with the same steel tubular, double cradle frame, suspension, wheels, brakes and exhaust.
The suspension consists of dual telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers with adjustable preload at the rear. A 320mm disc with a two-piston caliper features at the front, while the rear includes a smaller 240mm disc with a single-piston caliper.
The bike, which has a total of 160 miles on the clock at the time of this writing, has had just one previous owner and appears to be in good condition. The seat height aboard the Interceptor 650 comes in at 790mm, making it a smart choice for shorter riders, while ground clearance is set at 174mm. Although the bike on offer from MandP is the Black Pearl colourway option, the Interceptor 650 is home to a further six options, all of which are available on the Indian brand’s website.
While the Interceptor 650 is one of the most reputable middleweight bikes within its range, its aforementioned younger siblings are likely to create a lot of interest, but with with £2,500 in savings on this Interceptor compared to the RRP price of over £6,000, we’d argue this is still a bike very worthy of your attention.
