New models from CCM don’t come around very often, meaning that when the boutique Bolton bike maker does drop some new metal, it’s always big news.

This morning, not one but two new models arrived in our inbox: the Street Moto and Street Moto R. The bikes continue CCM’s ethos of reducing weight, adding performance, and ensuring the riding experience is paramount.

Both new bikes utilise the same BMW-derived 600cc single-cylinder engine producing 55bhp and the same handmade tig-welded trellis frame which is powder-coated in satin black. They both also feature bakes from the Brembo subsidiary J.Juan. The Street Moto sits on 17-inch Haan spoked wheels, while the Moto R rolls on 17-inch satin black Dymag forged rims.

Each new bike also features a plethora of aluminium jewellery throughout, and both are equipped with carbon fibre bodywork and front mudguards. They also feature updated CCM badging and dedicated graphics on the seat unit.

The main technical difference between Street Moto and Street Moto R is in the bike’s suspension. Both machines run an adjustable Marzocchi fork at the front, although the Street Moto R gains a premium YSS Shock with a remote reservoir - the base model comes with a slightly lower spec YSS item. The base model also gets a conventionally routed exhaust system, while the Street Moto R gets a slinky underseat unit, handy for keeping your backside toasty on a chilly morning. The Moto R also gains a carbon fibre sump guard.

The new Street Moto starts at £9,995 and is available in three colours, Midnight Black, Heritage White, and Factory Blue. Street Moto R comes in at £11,495 and can be ordered in either Signal Yellow or Liquid Mercury. Both bikes are available to order on the official CCM website now, and we’ve been told that delivery should be between six and eight weeks.

More information on both new models can be found on the website.
