Alpinestars launch airbag safety suit
Still under development - to go on sale in the next 2-3 years
Visordown News
FOLLOWING THE introduction of the Dainese D-Air motorcycle leather airbag system back in 2007, fellow Italian clothing manufacturer Alpinestars is now testing its own active airbag system with selected racers in MotoGP and World Superbikes.
The company are currently refining the system but plan to sell airbag suits to the general public within 2-3 years (how long? - Ed).
It's anticipated the safety system will add another 2000 euros to the cost of a suit.
