Bike of the Day: Harley-Davidson Street 750
Grab yourself a near-new Harley for less than £5500
HARLEY-DAVIDSON'S cruisers have long been the Marmite of motorcycles, drawing praise and criticism in equal measures.
But with its more recent models, the American manufacturer is hoping to gain traction with an entirely different demographic of riders – the young ones.
Take the Street 750, for example, a low-priced, A2-compatible, café racer-styled machine. What’s not to like?
And this 431-mile model is a very tidy example of the Street 750 for just £5495.
How it’s described:
‘Very low mileage Harley Davidson. Comes with Vance and Hines silencer, bar end mirrors and Deluxe paintwork.’
What we think:
‘The Street 750 is arguably one of the ‘coolest’ Harleys you can get. It’s stylish, understated and most importantly, extremely customisable. The dealership has already got the custom ball rolling on this extremely low mileage model, by spec’ing a smart silencer, bar end mirrors and that eye-catching paintwork.
‘For £5495 you get a lot of (near-new) bike for your buck. There’s a pleasant liquid-cooled 749cc powertrain that makes 56hp, Brembo callipers and 7-Spoke cast aluminium wheels with machined rims.’
‘Despite lacking the grunty torque of the manufacturer’s larger-engined models, the Street 750 is an attractive entry-level Harley, boasting both style and rideability.’
