Bike of the day: Honda MSX125
Get your Grom on...
A BIT of moto madness to start the week – today’s Bike of the Day is Honda’s diminutive Grom.
The Grom, aka the MSX, is universally loved for its gentle 125cc engine and fun-to-ride nature – not to mention its adorable looks.
Despite being small in stature, the Grom is a fully road legal 125cc machine, accessible to riders from age 17 with a CBT.
Its exact purpose isn’t so clear cut. With no underseat storage, tiny wheels and a top speed of less than 70mph – not to mention its lack of road presence – critics often question why anyone would buy the Grom over Honda’s CBF125 – a far more practical machine.
But for what the Grom lacks in practicality, it makes up for in style, agility and sheer fun.

How it’s described:

What we think:
‘While the seller doesn’t have much to say about this little Grom, we have plenty!
‘Finished in a smart red, with gold forks and rims, and boasting accessories including ASV adjustable levers, a Yoshimura slip on and Oxford heated grips, it’s certainly an eye catcher.
‘Whether you’re a first-time rider or more experienced, the Grom offers a hilarious experience that no other bike can match. In fact, no other mainstream manufacturer has matched it…
‘Despite a top speed only in the region of 70mph, you feel like you’re going a lot faster – that’s thanks to being so close to the floor. And its short wheelbase makes for incredible manoeuvrability and agility, meaning you’ll always be at the front of the filtering queue.
‘Whether you’re looking for a bit of fun or a capable commuter, you can’t go wrong with a Grom.’
