Coventry MotoFest 2022 dates and motorcycle activity confirmed
The details of one of the UK’s biggest free car and bike events have been confirmed, as Coventry MotoFest shifts up a gear for 2022
COVENTRY MotoFest is one of the biggest and most unique petrol-head events in the UK. Set amid the concrete jungle of Coventry city centre, for two days a year, the city’s ring road is transformed into a sprint circuit, with static displays and stunt shows highlighting the show.
It’s been a tough year for MotoFest, and the rest of the events and hospitality industry, after COVID-19 first saw the event shelved in 2020 and scaled back in 2021. For 2022 though, the vast two and four-wheeled event will be back to full strength, with a packed program of action on the sprint circuit, stunt shows, rideouts, and static bike and car displays.
Taking place on Saturday 10th September and Sunday 11th September, the new date will no doubt please motorcycle fans, as the previous show ran slap bang in the middle of the Isle of Man TT fortnight – less than ideal.
The theme for this year’s event is past, present, and future, and will coincide with the finale of MotoFest’s Future Moves project. The initiative involved Coventry City Council, MotoFest Coventry, and other regional partners, and is dedicated to showcasing the region’s work in world-leading transport innovation.
For the bike fans reading this – hopefully all of you – there will be a ride out taking place on the first day of the show. The start point is TBC, but if previous year’s rideouts are anything to go by, it’ll involve hundreds of bikes riding into the city and doing a parade lap of the track. Once that is done, park up, grab an ice cream and enjoy the action!
