Is this the greatest 'barn find' yet?
Imagine stumbling across this...
'BARN FINDS' are all the rage in the auction world at the moment, with collectors and bargain hunters scrabbling to get their hands on dusty relics that have lain hidden for decades. And the latest collection to go on sale is one of the most spectacular yet.
The estate of the late William L King Jr in Ohio is simply jaw-dropping if you're a fan of rare, old bikes. To find just one pre-war four-cylinder Indian would be pretty amazing, but here we have four of them, plus twin cylinder Indians, Harleys, Hondas and Kawasakis ranging from the 1920s to the 1990s. And that's not all, as the collection also includes a huge stash of components, particularly for rare Indian fours – in fact it almost looks like a production line inside the barns. Oh, and there are some fairly tasty cars in there too...
Up for online auction via Worley Auctioneers, every item is being sold separately, with current bids ranging from a few cents to thousands of dollars. The only problem if you're living anywhere outside the States is that if you're a winning bidder you're going to have to fly out there and collect the stuff yourself on October 17, 18 or 19 – the auctioneers aren't going to pack or post any of the items.
Check out the video above or the auction itself here to see all the lots.
