Monimoto 9 Motorcycle Tracker Launched

Monimoto has this week revealed its latest tracking device, the Monimoto 9, a smaller, lighter and versatile security solution.

Taking all the features of the Monimoto 7, the new device is, first and foremost, much smaller and lighter than before, making it easier to stash in your bike, and harder for a would-be thief to discover. It still involves all the features of the previous device, though, meaning you get auto-arm/disarm, unauthorised movement detection and immediate theft alerts sent to the owner's phone along with real-time vehicle tracking via the Monimoto app.

Another bonus feature is instead of the 24-month battery which would eventually need to be replaced, the new product comes equipped with a rechargeable battery, boasting a 12-month life before it needs re-juicing. It’s also claimed to be more rugged than before, making it perfect for a host of applications. It’s water and dust-resistant, making it ideal for outdoor use on bikes, ATVs, boats, trailers, caravans and basically anything on wheels that you want to protect.

Like the Monimoto 7, the new product is available worldwide and uses LTE-M (LTE-M CAT M1) networks and works globally. The new device comes with an embedded eSIM card that covers most parts of the world, where 4G and 5G networks are available.

Motorcycle trackers of increasingly being seen as the best piece of first-line security a motorcyclist can invest in. Recovery rates vary by location and device used, although Monimoto does regularly list the bikes that have been recovered on its website under the ‘Blog’ section.

The new Monimoto 9 is available now via the official website and is priced in the UK at £149. It’s currently available with two two-month free subscription. After that, it’s £36 per year to subscribe.
