Motorcyclist killed returning home from TT

A THIRTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist has been killed in a fatal accident riding home after spectating at the this year's Isle of Man TT.

Former soldier Mark Taylor lost his life in the accident, which took place on the A642 in Wakefield. Police say no other vehicles were involved.

His wife of 16 years, Laura, said: "He loved the TT and the Isle of  Man. We had been over for the races and were coming back.

"I had my bike in the back of the van, but he said he was going to go back along the A roads and would see me in an hour.

"I got home and the police came to the door. I just knew then he had died."

An inquest into Mr Taylor's death is to follow.
