New video of Husqvarna 701 concept

Walk-around shot by designer who sees projects ‘from concept to production’

New video of Husqvarna 701 concept

A NEW high-quality video shows what Husqvarna’s 701 supermoto concept looks like up-close.

The 701, essentially a KTM 690 SMC in fancy dress, was unveiled at the Milan motorcycle show in November. It's powered by KTM's 690cc single but offering a claimed 75hp, nine more than the 690 SMC.

The video was shot at the Austrian design agency Kiska by Piers Spencer-Phillips, creative lead for KTM and Husqvarna, whose job is ‘to see projects from concept through to production’.

It gives a detailed look at the steel trellis frame, WP suspension, rear fuel tank and bodywork-shrouded exhaust.

Husqvarna has been owned by KTM since March last year, after the Swedish marque was sold by BMW.
