Police officer in serious condition following A32 crash
Roads closed for three hours
A POLICE officer is in critical condition following a crash on the A32 on Friday.
The 52-year old PC was riding his BMW R1200RT southbound on the A32 when he was in a collision with a green Citroen C5. The police officer was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Following the accident, the A32 was closed in both directions for three hours. A spokesman for Hampshire police said the policeman involved in the accident was on an 'unspecified training excercise'.
A man has been arrested but police are looking for further witnesses. You can call the Fratton Roads Policing unit on 101.
