Round-Britain ride raising cash for RAF Benevolent Fund
UK bike trade supporting charity ride round the British coast
THE ROYAL Air Force is 100 this year, and there are a load of events going on to celebrate and raise cash for the airman's charity - the RAF Benevolent Fund. And this one is a good 'un - a three-week ride round the coast of Britain, starting at Chatham Dockyard, riding Royal Enfield bikes. Supported by RE and kit firm Oxford Products, the five riders are aming to beat the £10,000 raised in 2014 for the VE-70 event. The Royal Enfields have been chosen to celebrate the contribution made by the Indian Air Force, and other Commonwealth forces, to the efforts in World War II. Which is a nice touch we think.
The ride kicks off in September. But the team are touring over the summer, showing off their bikes and raising cash in advance. See them at the events below - more info at www.raf100.net or www.facebook.com/roundtheoutsideRAF100/
