A SCOOTER RIDER escaped with only minor injuries in a crash which saw their scooter land atop a car roof.

The incident occurred on High Street, Quarry Bank, Brierly Hill at just before 6am this morning.

Officers from West Midland Police attended the scene and found the motorbike still balanced on top of the vehicle.

West Midland Police Force Response tweeted this morning that a unit from Brierley Hill attended the road traffic collision, saying: "Just attended an RTC where a motorcycle unbelievably ended up on a car roof.

"Thankfully, both driver and rider weren't seriously injured."
