Spring Classic Bike Show opens entries for 2023 event
The Spring Classic Bike Show will take place on 26 March 2023, and entries are now open for classic bike owners to apply to display at the event.
The Spring Classic Bike Show has announced the opening of entries for owners of pre-1980 motorcycles to display their bikes at the event.
All that is required to apply for an entry is to complete an entry form on the Elk Promotions website, with entries closing on 12 March. All bikes from before 1980 are eligible to be entered, although the specific theme of the 2023 Show is “The Roaring Twenties and Thirties,” as a celebration of motorcycles from the inter-war years.
Rick Parkington will be present at the Show with his collection of pre-war motorcycles. Parkington is considered an expert on pre-war motorcycles and is the man behind Rick Parkington’s Classic Bike Workshop. His collection has included motorcycles from BSA, Norton, and Triumph, and he has worked on two-strokes and scramblers, too.
Norton OC (Surrey) and the Roaring Twenties MotorCycle Club will be present at the Show, as well, with a number of Brooklands-inspired bikes. A Spring Classic Bike Show anticipates that bikes from SOS, Rex Acme, Excelsior, Francis-Barnett, New Imperial, Cotton and Blackburne could be brought to the event, with some being taken to the ‘Fire-Up’ paddock, giving visitors the chance to hear classic sounds.
Additionally, the Sunbeam MCC, regarded as the leading pre-war motorcycle club, will be present at the Show.
The Show will include club stands, classic bikes, new and used spares, and apparel and accessories all in addition to the main show bikes in the Jubilee Hall of the South of England Showground in Ardingly.
The 2023 Spring Classic Bike Show is scheduled to take place on 26 March, with tickets costing £7 for adults. Gates open to the public at 10am, although ‘early-bird’ tickets can be purchased for £10, allowing access between 08:00-08:45.
