Suzuki slashes £1,000 off SFV650 Gladius price
Now only £24 more than SV650S and £350 less than Yamaha MT-07
SUZUKI has slashed the price of its middleweight SFV650 Gladius to £4,999 plus on-the-road charges, a reduction of £1,000.
It brings the Gladius to within whisker of Suzuki's own SV650S, which uses the same 645cc V-twin engine and costs £4,975.
With ABS the Gladius now costs £5,399.
Suzuki's price drop follows the introduction this year of Yamaha's new MT-07, a 689cc parallel-twin. That was introduced at £5,199 but Yamaha has quietly increased the price to £5,349 plus OTR.
Kawasaki also recently dropped the price of its 649cc ER-6 range in response to the MT-07.
Suzuki GB General Manager Paul de Lusignan said: 'We're delighted to announce the new pricing of the SFV650. With many market factors coming into play, including more favourable exchange rates with the Yen, we're very pleased to be able to realign the RRP of this model and make it an even more affordable option.'
