Transport firm delivers bikes stacked like fallen dominoes

THIS is how six motorcycles arrived after their owners entrusted a transport firm to move them from Malaga to Derby.

The Red Lion Biker's club arranged for Cars Go Transport to bring the bikes home after touring Portugal and Spain - only to receive them stacked on their sides like tumbled dominoes on the back of a lorry.

The bikes include a KTM 1190 Adventure and a BMW R1200GS. One rider, Mark Andrew, has posted pictures and video on his Facebook page of the moment the bikes were delivered to shocked owners, three weeks after being collected.

Andrew was waiting for his BMW S1000RR and says it arrived with 'scratches and paint rubs-off in seven areas including the exhaust and the engine casing'.

The bikes also had footprints across the seats and tanks according to Andrew's Facebook post.

Police were called amid an argument between the delivery driver and riders, and officers stayed until all the machines were unloaded from the lorry.

Gary Lucas, director of Malaga-based Cars Go Transport, told Visordown: 'We are investigating what happened after the motorcycles reached the UK from Malaga airport where I personally loaded them for the UK. They left Malaga and arrived at the transport company's yard in Essex where they obviously got redirected to Derby using another transporter. I'm not yet understanding what occurred, other than the photos you would have seen.

'As I say we want to find out what has happend as well and am sorry for the guys and their bikes.'
