VC London inspiring women with Team Talks
The Talks will feature pioneering women working in motor and actionsports
VC LONDON is probably the coolest club in the Capital right now.
And its entry criteria aren’t complicated – you just need two X chromosomes.
That’s right, VC is an all-girl biker gang, encouraging women into the world of two wheels. And now they’re expanding to all things action sports, all the while holding the girl power flag aloft.
Next Wednesday, April 18, the gang will take over Red Bull’s Tooley Street UK headquarters, where they will host an evening of female empowerment in the form of a ‘Team Talk’.
This edition will see the UK’s only female pro class flat track rider Leah Tokelove take to the stage, alongside 2017 bouldering world champion Shauna Coxsey; President of the FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission and founder of Spinal Track Nathalie McGloin and YouTuber Becky Evans, aka Queen B.
The four will lift the lids on their pioneering careers, and what it means to be a woman in their respective industries. Following the talks, musician duo The Pearl Harts will perform.
The Team Talks were set up by VC’s founders – Gemma, Namin and Mai – with the aim to inspire and influence women. Previous speakers include the first British woman to circumnavigate the world by motorcycle, Elspeth Beard; pro skater Josie Millard; Japanese bike builder Ayano Hirosaka and pro BMXer Brook Betancourt.
Apply for one of the limited number tickets here. If you miss out, don't stress, as there will be more Team Talks at Camp VC later this year.
