Visordown Marketplace’s Bike of the Day
Rock down to electric avenue on this stylish, low-cost Zero
IT’S the first week post-festivities, and after splashing the cash on Christmas (and the sales), people nationwide are feeling the pinch.
So in the spirit of Frugal Friday, today’s bike of the day is the low-running cost Zero FXS ZF6.5.
At £7495, including a £500 sale discount, the electric supermoto is at the lower end of the electric bike price range, too.
This 2017 model is an ex-demo/courtesy, with just 163 miles on the clock and in great condition…
How it’s described:
‘Whether you are charging through the inner city supermoto style or indulging in back road shenanigans, the new Zero FXS is ready to push the limits. The stats talk:- 106 Nm of torque, instantly & weighs just 135kg The throttle response is simply stunning. Showa Suspension & JJ brakes keep things under control. 17 in wheels & Pirelli Diablo Rosso II hoops are pukka The ELECTRIC FXS takes supermoto to a new level.’
What we think:
‘Grab yourself a bargain with this ex-demo/courtesy bike. For inner-city riding you can’t go wrong with an electric bike, and Zero machines are known for their technology, quality and style. Capable of making 78 ft-lb of torque from zero revs, and 46hp at 4,300 rpm, the FXS ZF6.5 boasts a city range of 90 miles (at a cost of less than 1p per mile) and a max speed of 85mph. It may not be ideal for longer journeys or motorway commuting due to the UK’s lack of charging infrastructure, but if you have the means to regularly recharge it, you’re guaranteed to have a lot of frugal fun on this awesome little supermoto.
