Watch: Man drops brand new Triumph in the sea

UNLESS you're Robbie Maddison aboard a specially adapted bike, riding a motorcycle into the sea is never going to end well...

It certainly didn't for this rider, who rode a shiny new Triumph Street Scrambler (with just 11 miles on the clock) into the Pacific surf and promptly capsized it...

Watch as the whole bike disappears under the salty waves, before a friend has to run in and help the rider haul it out of the water. Ouch!

Hours of maintenance follows as the team attempt to get the bike running again... And according the the video, six oil changes and many hours later they were 'back to ripping'.

EverythingEmpire shared the video on its YouTube channel, with the accompanying captions: "Watch the behind the scenes of what athletes Nick Apex and Ernie Vigil go through when making and developing online videos. Dropping bikes in the ocean is just the start!"
