IS Lewis Hamilton about to announce a switch to two wheels?
That’s what some fans are speculating after he tweeted this picture of himself walking towards a bike with the message ‘Announcement coming tomorrow…’
However, it’s been reported that the announcement is more likely to be of a sponsorship deal with MV Agusta – and the bike he’s walking towards is a limited-edition MV Agusta F4 RC named after the F1 star.
Only 44 LHF4RC will be made, costing £60,000 each, according to the Sun.
MV previously made the limited-edition Dragster RR LH44 in collaboration with Hamilton, who currently leads in the F1 championship.
MV Agusta President Giovanni Castiglioni said earlier this month: "I'm very excited and proud to continue this cooperation that will see new MV Agustas co-designed with Lewis entering the market in the next month."
There's also speculation the announcement could simply be a renewal of Hamilton's F1 contract with Mercedes, which ends in 2018.
Mercedes-AMG owned a 25% stake in MV before recently selling it to MV Agusta Motor Holding, effectively returning 100% control to the Italian motorcycle marque.
We’ll keep you posted.
