Honda CUV e Electric Scooter Revealed with Removable Batteries
Honda has a new electric scooter on the block to complement its existing EM1 e
A completely new model for 2025, Honda used the EICMA show in Milan to show off its newest electric scooter in the form of the CUV e.
It features dual interchangeable batteries courtesy of the Honda Mobile Power Pack and reaches a top speed of 83km/h (51.5mph). Whether you buy the standard 2025 CUV e model or the fancier CUV e: with Honda RoadSync Duo edition, both models are the same from a performance, chassis and electrical system point of view, and you will be treated to 8bhp.
The two models share the same 12-inch wheels front and the rear fitted to both versions of the new CUV e. However, there are very slight differences when it comes to the dash as the standard CUV e features a five-inch TFT system, while the Honda RoadSyncs Duo scooter includes a seven-inch Connected Display.
Both scooters feature three riding modes which include Standard, Sport and Econ, which are the same across both models. The headlight and taillights are both LED, while CUV e’s battery charge time from zero to maximum is approximately six hours. To reach 75 per cent only three hours of charge time are needed. The Honda Mobile Power Pack e: can be charged over 2,500 times. There’s a small inner pocket inside the fairing, space under the seat for waterproofs or equipment of a similar size and a USB-C charging socket.
A steel underbone frame, paired with 31mm telescopic forks and twin rear shocks feature in the chassis’ set-up. Braking comes in the form of a front 190mm disc/single-piston caliper and 110mm rear drum. A rear carrier is included in the specification of the scooter.
The wheelbase is set at 1310mm, with the rake and trail consisting of a 26-degree/79mm combination. The dimensions are similar to Honda’s SH Mode 125 scooter. The turning radius is 1.9 metres and there’s 210mm ground clearance. The whole thing tips the scales at 120kg.
The CUV e is Honda’s second electric scooter after the EM1 e was introduced in 2023. The former will firmly take on the role of being the big brother to its A1-licence counterpart as it makes nearly double the top speed of the EM1 e (28mph) which consists of a 1.7kW electric power unit - equivalent to 50cc.
Three colour options are available for the CUV e which consist of Pearl Jubilee White, Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic and Premium Silver Metallic.
