Honda Grom Gets Swapped for Ducati Panigale, Goes for First Ride

A Honda Grom, stuffed with a Ducati Panigale 1199 Engine, has gone for its first outing and it sounds totally bonkers

Ever thought you’d see a Honda Grom cross paths with a Ducati Panigale 1199, neither did we until coming across this, bonkers, weird, unprecedented - you name it, custom build.

The Honda Grom is a known favourite for custom build enthusiasts, but this, this is something else. Many Grom customs have been turned into beautiful machines, while some have left a lot to be desired.

This Grom-Panigale combination is one that, quite frankly, will either be loved or hated. Grom’s are not the most powerful bikes, in fact, they have very little power compared to most motorcycles out there, but this special build does not fall under that category.

A few weeks ago we this build was in the making but now that's it's been fully customised, which includes being stretched at the rear of the bike thanks to and extended swingarm, this wild Grom-Panigale Combo has gone for it's first ride.

The build is completely finished at the time of the video ending, including plans and it's clear that effort gone it by The_StreetSweeper was impressive. In the last video of this build the clutch and brake cables needed to be fitted along with handlebar grips, which is no longer the case. He also added Pirelli Diablo tyres, titanium Brembo four-piston brake kit and a titanium Brembo Caliper for the rear section to the bike.

While his Grom has turned into somewhat of a different motorcycle, you don't say, everything on the bike remains part of the original Grom DNA except the meat of this machine being the Panigale 1199 engine. Yes, that means his Grom has a Desmodromic V-twin engine that produces 185bhp!

As you would expect from a build like this, the bike is fitted with a custom exhaust system although we don’t get to see how it sounds as the bike is not started up at any stage.
