Called Mo-Town, a new commercial complex dedicated to all things two-wheels will soon arrive in France and will consist of a total surface area of 16,000 square metres, making it the biggest in Europe.

The motorcycle complex, based in Lyon, will open its doors on 18 April as it gets set to accommodate several different brands through stores dedicated to motorcycle equipment. Currently the biggest motorcycle village in Europe, according to SoyMotero.net, is another French-based venue in Montpellier, which is called Moto Park.

More than 20 brands involved in the motorcycle industry reportedly hold officers in the complex, but the new 16,000 square metre venue in Lyon will be even bigger.

Companies that have already been confirmed to take up residence at the new complex, include Ducati, Triumph, Kawasaki, KYMCO, KTM, Zero Motorcycles and Can-Am, among many others.

The town of Venissieux is where the building will be located, while construction of Mo-Town began back in 2018 and cost around €17m (roughly £14.2m) to build. As well as motorcycle equipment sales, several workshops will also be key figures of the new establishment.

A statement from the creators of the new building said: “The largest gathering of motorcycle and accessory brands in Europe, Mo-Town promises to be a major event in the world of two-wheels. Designed as a village with its large central street and main square, the complex is divided into juxtaposed shopping areas, punctuated in particular by a play of roofs with varied ridges.”

“The landscape interacts with the 16,000 [square] metres of buildings to offer a new, open and friendly transgenerational approach to the world of motorcycling in the broadest sense. A restaurant and services complete the offer, supported by voluntary architecture on a human scale.”
