Husqvarna is performing a recall across several off-road motorcycles fitted with Braketec braking systems from model years 2022 to 2024.

The recall has been confirmed by the Swedish company, which says all models affected will be inspected by a local Husqvarna dealer for potential front brake calliper replacements.

Husqvarna has also stated that the problem might not be apparent on all models from 2022 to 2024, but that owners of these motorcycles must return them to authorised Husqvarna dealers to have the front brake inspected and changed if necessary.

Customers are being informed by personal letters from Husqvarna, asking them to arrange a return of their motorcycle. Additionally, customers who are unsure if their bike has fallen victim of the potential front brake issue can check online to see if their motorcycle is impacted by the recall.

If your model has the fault there is still good news however, as the inspection and replacement of all affected parts will be carried out free of charge for the customer, but it can only be performed by authorised Husqvarna dealers.

Customers of Husqvarna street bikes will be pleased to know that this issue will not affect them as it is strictly to do with the motocross, enduro and cross country models.

A statement from Husqvarna said: “Husqvarna Mobility is recalling all 2022-2024 motocross, enduro and cross country models with Braketec brake systems in order for authorised Husqvarna Mobility dealers to check a potential issue with the front brake caliper. Irregularities in the casting structure of a specific component may impair the function of the front brake caliper and consequently, this must be inspected and replaced if necessary.”
