HARLEY-Davidson have opened the new H-D Adventure Centre in Llangynog, Wales.
The H-D Adventure Centre in Llangynog will offer visitors the chance to ride Harley’s adventure bike, the Pan America 1250 Special, in an off-road scenario.
Teaming up with seven-time Dakar winner Mick Extance, Harley-Davidson are offering riders the opportunity to get to grips with the Pan America 1250 Special with expert - to say the least - tutorage.
Riders will be able to both improve their own off-road technique and confidence, and experience the full capabilities of the Pan America 1250 Special in conditions which present such challenge as to entice the World Rally Championship back year after year.
A press release from Harley-Davidson reads, “From novice off-roader to international traveller, the training will help improve a rider whatever their experience level.”
Mick Extance, who Harley describe as “Britain’s finest off-road expert,” said, “I’m delighted to be working so closely with Harley-Davidson and can’t wait to help more riders get to grips with the superb Pan America 1250 Special.” He continued, “The H-D Adventure Centre is the perfect location to experience what this bike can do and set up Harley owners for a lifetime of on- and off-road adventures with their Pan America motorcycles.”
The asking price to experience a day at the H-D Adventure Centre is £349. For that, riders can expect the following: the hire of a Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special with specially-designed adventure tyres from Michelin; fuel and insurance for the day; full riding kit and helmet if they are necessary; “intimate” on- and off-road tuition; and lunch at a four-star hotel on lake Vyrnwy.
Additionally, if you are a member of of the Harley Owners Group, you can save £50 on the experience, so it will cost you £299.
