Kramer GP2-890 XX Naked Race Bike is KTM-Powered
Kramer Motorcycles has taken the covers off its £50,000 naked race bike, which is KTM-powered like other race bikes in its range
The new bike from Kramer Motorcycles is set to land in the spring of 2025 after it received its official unveiling at EICMA last month.
Named GP2-890 XX, the new model is a naked track bike that certainly looks the part and will cost £50,000. It’s based on the brand’s fully faired sibling, the GP2-890R which has been used for domestic championship racing in the UK.
That’s the case for Kramer’s GP2-890RR which is also KTM-powered, as it uses the Duke 890 parallel-twin power unit and was used in the 2024 British Superbike GP2 class. Marking a first in its racing history, the new hyper naked features the same 890 parallel-twin engine from the Duke R model, and produces a whopping 136.1bhp at 10100rpm and 73.8lb.ft of torque at 8200rpm.
“The Krämer GP2-890 XX marks a bit of a departure for the Krämer Motorcycles brand as it is our first hyper naked model without fairings, and it is a bike that is aimed more at track day riders than weekend racers,” said CEO Markus Krämer.
Giving the bike’s parallel-twin engine an even fruitier sound is a two-into-one exhaust system with stainless steel headers, along with a titanium muffler producing 105dB of noise. There are a total of nine levels of traction control and five stages of wheelie control, while a pitlane speed limiter for full race bike authenticity is included as standard.
The kerb weight is believed to be a mere 140kg - that’s with 16 litres of fuel onboard. It also features a set of carbon fibre 17-inch BST rims to keep up its highly-decked-out appearance. Further accessories also include carbon bodywork, a quickshifter, and Brembo Stylema front braking callipers.
The new GP2-890 XX follows on from Kramer’s run of 10 limited-build naked bikes which were revealed in January and were inspired by the American Super Hooligan racing championship which is based upon very modified motorcycles.
