KTM updates LC4-powered range with new 690 Enduro R, 690 SMC R models
KTM has revealed its most powerful single-cylinder motorcycles to date, with the arrival of its new 690 Enduro R and 690 SMC R models.

KTM’s 2026 range continues to grow with the addition of a new 690 Enduro R, which is joined by the revised 690 SMC R supermoto model.
The Austrian brand, which recently welcomed a new motocross and small-capacity enduro range, claims the new 690 models will feature the ‘most powerful single-cylinder engine on the market’.
Starting with the new 690 Enduro R model, it receives the latest Euro 5+-compliant LC4 single-cylinder engine, as well as a revised crankcase, clutch, and stator cover. It also comes with a redesigned oil system that’s been fitted in the hope of improving reliability and performance.

The updates don’t end there, though, as the revised model gains a new 4.2-inch full-colour TFT display, redesigned switchgear, a USB-C charging port, and an LED headlight.
Cornering ABS, Cornering MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control), and the all-new Dynamic Slip Adjust (available in the optional Rally Ride Mode), which provides riders with real-time, terrain-adaptive traction control, completes the list of electronic updates.
The new 690 SMC R supermoto model also benefits from KTM’s updated LC4 engine. The shared power unit across both models produces 77.9bhp and 53.9 lb.ft of torque
Riders of the supermoto machine will also get a host of tech upgrades, including the same full-colour 4.2-inch TFT display as mentioned above, an upgraded switchgear, Cornering ABS and Cornering MTC. Additionally, Selectable Ride Modes and customisable ABS Modes are housed by the updated electronics package. For a more intuitive experience, riders can also pair their smartphone via KTMConnect.

Both bikes benefit from the company’s full range of KTM PowerParts and KTM PowerWear, which enables riders to personalise their machines and gear as they wish.
Both models will land in UK dealers from September, 2025, and will come with a price tag of £10,499.
