Morbidelli’s T1002V and VX models have arrived in UK dealerships, with the only difference being spoked wheels aboard the T1002VX bike.

The same in every other way, the two adventure motorcycles are priced at £7,999 (T1002V) and £8,399 (T1002VX) and feature a 997cc 80-degree V-twin engine that’s capable of delivering 88.5bhp at 7500rpm and a peak torque of 65.6Ib ft at 5250rpm.

Feeding off its 20-litre tank, the ‘V’ configuration gives both bikes progressive power that suits all types of terrain, while a hydraulic clutch with slipper function is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Morbidelli T1002V and T1002VX models get high-performance KYB suspension that is fully adjustable front and rear. A 43mm inverted fork with 183.8mm of travel comprises the front setup, and at the rear is a multi-link rear suspension with 77.4 mm of travel.

The two models receive J.Juan brakes as well as the Bosch ABS Pro System with cornering functionality. Four-piston radial calipers are gripped to dual 320mm floating front discs, while at the rear is a twin caliper biting down on a 260mm disc.

The T1002V offers four adaptable riding modes for various conditions, those being Standard, Sport, Rain, and Off-Road, as is the case aboard the VX. These modes control throttle response, traction control, and ABS.

Furthermore, the ride modes displayed and all bike information is fed through a 7-inch colour TFT display with day and night modes. A Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is also fitted as standard.

For safety while riding at night, a dual LED projector is placed within the headlight and is backed up with an LED taillight and turn signals with hazard light functionality.

Moving to the only difference across the two models, the front wheel set-up on the V model consists of cast aluminium wheels both front and back, and rides on a 120/70 19 Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyre at the front and 170/60 17 Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR out back.

On the VX model are spoked aluminium wheels front and back, however, it uses the same 120/70 19 Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR and 170/60 17 Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres.
