2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade UK Pricing Revealed
UK pricing for the 2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP has been revealed, with the updated supersports machine coming in at £23,499
The 2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP was one of a number of new, or updated, motorcycles revealed by Honda at the end of last year, and now we finally know how much it’ll cost.
One of the most obvious changes Honda made to its Fireblade offering for 2024 was to remove the standard version, with only the SP model available in the UK from this year, whose prices will start at £23,499. This matches the price of the previous Fireblade SP, and undercuts the 30th Anniversary edition from 2022, too.
A second Carbon Edition, priced at £26,749, will also be available in only 300 units across Europe, and only 50 in the UK.
Along with the updated price, the 2024 Fireblade comes with two-motor throttle-by-wire for the first time to smooth out throttle response, and some internal engine changes brought with similar intentions in mind. Despite the smoothing out, peak power remains the same at 214bhp. It also comes with a pretty smart set of Ohlins’ latest semi-active suspension, both front and rear, despite the factory WorldSBK team (which didn’t have a great start to 2024 at the season-opening Australian Round) running Showa.
With the standard version gone and the base price of a Fireblade therefore increased, Honda's direction with its flagship supersports machine could be likened to that of Yamaha. The Iwata marque recently announced it will be discontinuing production of its YZF-R1 and R1M models in Europe except in track-only, non-road-legal form, and, with a few jumps, you can see how Honda’s Fireblade path leads it to at least a similar point.
