Ducati to launch 2021 models in a five episode web-series
Ducati has announced it is to release the details of its 2021 range in a five episode online series
DUCATI is rolling with the COVID-19 punches this winter, as it turns to a series of web-events to announce the details of its new models.
The online event begins on November the 4th, continuing every Wednesday until December the 2nd. The event will be running on a special page on the Ducati website and also across the Italian firm’s social media channels.
With a distinct lack of any form of motorcycle shows at the moment, we’re getting fairly used to this new kind of model unveiling, with Ducati using the method to great success with the recent announcement of the new Multistrada V4 and its Desmo-less Granturismo engine.
What new bikes can we expect from Ducati in 2021?
As you’d expect, Ducati is keeping tight-lipped as to what is getting unwrapped in the series, although there are some fairly high-level suspects we can hope to see.
First up is the new Monster, another bike that is shunning tradition and forging a new path for the Italian brand. The expected big news with this model is that it is losing the trellis frame that has been a mainstay of the model since inception. Instead the 2021 Monster is expected to switch to a more conventional – for the modern age – alloy frame.
There are also rumours that a new Diavel model will be uncovered, running alongside the update to Euro5 spec for the model. It’s thought that a new Diavel Lamborghini model will be unveiled.
We may also see the results of further work done on the Scrambler DesertX and Scrambler Motard concepts we saw at EICMA 2019. It’s unlikely these will be as completed models ready for sale, although Ducati is not likely to miss the chance to show how the two bikes are coming along.
