Vespa has unveiled a new limited edition version of its iconic scooter designed in collaboration with Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.

A self-proclaimed super fan of the timeless Italian runaround, it was announced at the top of the year that Bieber would become the latest in a long line of notable names to put their stamp on it for a new generation.

Following on from models curated by Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior and Sean Wotherspoon, the JUSTIN BIEBER X VESPA is designed to ‘reflect his creativity’ and - according to Piaggio in its official press release - is ‘unique destined to become pure inspiration’.

“The first time I rode a Vespa was somewhere in Europe, probably either London or Paris. I just remember seeing a Vespa and being like ‘I want to ride one of those’. And I had such a great time, just the wind flying through my hair, the freedom. It was fun.”

“I love Vespa, and to partner with such a classic brand is so cool. Being able to express myself, whether it's through art, music, visuals, or aesthetics, being able to create something from nothing - it's a part of me.

“Ultimately the goal in creating and designing is always to put your own unique spin on things.”

While the Vespa Sprint silhouette is unmistakable, Bieber features the brand logo and flames down the body of the vehicle in pearly white, adding that it is ‘the spin the singer wanted to put on the design to embody the creative drive, vibrancy and vigour’.

Available in 50, 125 and 150cc configurations, the Vespa x Bieber includes multifunctional TFT display, full LED lights and 12”” rims.

It is also available with an accessories package that includes a bag, a pair of gloves and total white helmet.
