Honda has announced the 2023 CMX1100 Rebel, with the major update coming in the form of a touring variant.

The CMX1100 Rebel was launched in 2021 as the larger sibling of the established CMX500 cruiser. Making use of Honda’s 1,084cc parallel twin engine, the CMX1100 has found success for Honda in the heavyweight cruiser division.

For 2023, the standard CMX1100 Rebel is mechanically unchanged, but Honda brings a new variant.

Specifically, a touring variant called the CMX1100T Rebel. A subtle, but noticeable, naming alteration, but more importantly, of course, a number of specified differences between this new touring version and the standard cruiser.

The CMX1100T will feature an aerodynamic half-fairing and hard cases on each side of the motorcycle (16 litres on the right, 19 litres on the left, for 35 litres total), and can also benefit from a windshield accessory which is exclusive to it, and not available for the standard CMX1100.

As with the standard CMX1100, the CMX1100T will be available with a dual clutch transmission (DCT), which makes shifting easier but increases the weight from the non-DCT 238kg to 248kg. That also makes the touring version 15kg heavier than the cruiser.

Other than the weight, the technical differences between the CMX1100 Rebel and the CMX1100T Rebel are none, but while the CMX1100T is only available in “Gunmetal Black Metallic”, there are two options for the standard bike: “Gunmetal Black Metallic”, and “Iridium Grey Metallic” which is new for 2023.

Considering accessories, Honda have made two packs available. Only the aforementioned windshield is exclusive to the CMX1100T, everything listed below can be applied also to the standard 1100 Rebel.
