Honda unveil Harley 883 rival
2010 Shadow RS 750: another alternative for entry-level bikers
HONDA HAVE pulled the covers off a new 750cc cruiser aimed at stealing sales away from Harley-Davidson's entry-level 883 Sportster.
Powered by a liquid-cooled 745cc V-twin engine, producing 42bhp, the Shadow RS 750 is Honda's latest offering to the custom cruiser market.
Taking heavy styling cues from Harley's long-standing Sportster range, the RS has a seat height of just 737mm, making the funky custom a prime choice for shorter riders.
A double-cradle steel tube frame, allied to beefy 41mm forks should provide stable, predictable handling, while a chunky 150-section rear tyre gives the RS that all-important big bike look.
Prices and availability are yet to be announced, although we'd estimate the bike will retail for around £6,000.
