Kawasaki reveals Ninja 300 Special Edition

YEP, the 2014 Ninja 300 Special Edition is on the loose and it’s… Well, it’s like the 2013 standard version but with some new stickers.

OK, we’re struggling here, so we’ll let Kawasaki’s official press blurb take the strain:

Praised for its big bike looks and strong Ninja family styling approach, the highly popular Ninja 300 is soon to be available in a Special Edition specification.

Based on the current twin-cylinder, water-cooled Ninja 300, the Special Edition stands out from other entry-level competitors thanks to a World Superbike inspired bodywork graphic package and colour-coded wheel rim tapes.

Featuring the by now famous “elliptical” graphic style of the machines ridden by Kawasaki WSBK stars Tom Sykes and Loris Baz, the Ninja 300 Special Edition will be available in standard and ABS equipped versions from Kawasaki dealers across Europe in late 2013.

Commenting, Mr Yasushi Kawakami, Managing Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe, highlighted the need to cater for the type of customer typically attracted to the smallest capacity machine in the formidable Ninja range.

“For many riders – either new to two wheels or returning after some time away – the Ninja 300 has become a popular motorcycle of choice. We are sure that the chance to ride a machine which has a visual appearance inspired by our race-winning Ninja ZX-10R World Superbike will prove a very attractive prospect.”

So, there you have it. WSB style stickers and rim tape. No prices have been announced just yet.
