Norton unveils limited edition Dominator Street
Norton Motorcycles has released a new limited edition Dominator Street with upright bars; Only 50 motorcycles will be made.
Following on from the success of the Commando Street released in October 2018, Norton has produced a new limited edition Dominator Street with a hand fabricated tank and upright bars - as per popular request.
There will be a total of 50 bikes produced, and they’ll each cost £21,950, with deliveries being expected from September 2019 onwards.
The modifications on the Dominator chassis will apparently give the bike a “sporty handling performance” when combined with the factory fitted Ohlins rear shock and Ohlins forks available in both USD or conventional formats (for that old school look).
Along with a two-into-one hand-made exhaust, the new Dominator Street features a carbon hugger, air box, front mudguard, fly screen, with polished yokes, engine covers and drilled clutch cover & chainguard. And yes, the 961cc parallel-twin motor will sound the dog's bollox because the bike is being sold using Single Vehicle Approval homologation, available to UK markets only, therefore not having to meet strict Euro 5 emissions standards.
Apart from the aforementioned modifications, most of the specifications for the Street Dominator remains true to the previous Cafe racer styled Dominator, using the same motor producing the same amount of power (80PS @ 6500rpm) and torque (90Nm @ 5200rpm). The standard Dominator comes in at £19,950. Therefore both bikes are a pretty penny, but both bikes are undeniably pretty - with the Street version offering a bit of extra comfort.
If you fancy a limited edition Street Dominator, a 10% deposit (£2,000) secures your number and build slot, and don’t forget to send an enquiry email to kj@nortonmotorcycles.com.
