THESE patent images could show Suzuki’s forthcoming parallel-twin GSX-R250, according to an Indonesian bike site which dug them up.

Predicted by a Japanese bike mag earlier this year, the GSX-R250 looks set to be Suzuki’s entry into the performance sub-500cc market, taking on the likes of Yamaha’s YZF-R3 and Honda’s long-awaited CBR20RR.

It’s likely to get a capacity-hike before coming to Europe, just as the 321cc R3 started out as the 249cc R25 in Indonesia.

The Indonesian site TMCblog.com seems to think the images show the new GSX-R250, as opposed to the Asian-market GSX-R150, because of a larger rear sprocket.

Honda said there were no plans to bring the CBR250RR to Europe at its Indonesian launch last month but that doesn't rule out the possiblity of a bigger version for our shores, with rumour suggesting it could be as much 350cc
