Sinnis Apache supermoto gets higher-spec ‘R’ edition for 2017
New frame, bigger brakes and USB socket for £2k supermoto
SINNIS is introducing this ‘R’ edition of its Apache 125 supermoto for 2017, with higher-spec components including bigger combined brakes and a new twin-exhaust and swing-arm.
The Chinese-built Apache R also has a new steel-trellis frame, digital dash and USB socket.
The styling has been revised, with new plastics, tank, seat and headlight.
Sinnis says it’s ‘in discussions’ with customers over whether to give it MAG or spoked wheels.
It’s due to go on sale by March next year at an anticipated £2,000 plus on-the-road charges.
The Apache R uses the same 124cc 11hp single-cylinder engine as the base model Apache, which is also getting a facelift and a range of updates, and currently costs £1,695 plus OTR.
Sinnis says the engine is built at a ‘Suzuki partner’ factory in China, allowing ‘better tolerances and quality control than others’.
