Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Limited Edition Announced
Triumph has returned to collaborating with the premium watch brand Breitling, for a limited edition version of the Speed Triple 1200 RR
Triumph has revived its relationship with the watchmaker Breitling this week, as the limited edition Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling is revealed.
The new bike follows a familiar theme, although the latest machine boasts not just the special edition Speed Triple 1200 RR, as Breitling has also introduced a new Chronomat B01 42 Triumph watch that can be purchased with the bike. It features titanium and 18k red gold, an anthracite dial and a brown leather strap. For those looking for something a little bit extra, owners can also opt for a made-to-order Triumph Owners Exclusive watch featuring a carbon dial, brown alligator strap and a case back engraved with their motorcycle’s unique number. This will tie in with the number inscribed on the top yoke of the bike, bonding the bike and wristwatch together as a matching pair of unique special editions.
The new bike will be limited to just 270 examples worldwide, and over and above the standard Speed Triple 1200 RR it features a bespoke paint scheme with premium gold hand-painted detailing, a leather seat with French stitching, an exclusive ‘high-specification’ Akrapovič silencer and a smattering of carbon fibre parts. It also features Breitling branding across the bike, including a custom start screen on the TFT dash, the Breitling logo laser-etched onto the machined rear wheel finisher, and a distinct gold Breitling badge on the tank.
The rest of the bike’s specification is as per the stock Speed Triple 1200 RR, meaning you get Öhlins semi-active suspension front and rear, a thumpingly good 177bhp inline three-cylinder engine, a six-speed quickshift-enabled gearbox, and, of course, that cafe racer retro styling.
Speaking about the new model, Triumph CEO, Nick Bloor said:
“Teaming up with Breitling, we’ve united two worlds, delivering our shared passions for precision, speed, and impeccable style.”
“The Chronomat and the Speed Triple 1200 RR exemplify our joint devotion to the highest standards of design and performance,” added Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling. “With Triumph, we share a rugged spirit that combines artistry with adventure.”
The new bikes are said to be getting delivered to their new owners in June 2024, and they have a price of £22,995 OTR. That makes the new limited edition £5,045 more than the stock Speed Triple 1200 RR (£17,950). Customers can register their interest at triumphmotorcycles.co.uk.
