The Ultraviolette F77 is set to land on November 13th

The new machine from India is said to rival any of the current crop of 250 to 450cc machines currently available

The Ultraviolette F77 is an Indian built machine that has been in development for a couple of years now. The bike is claimed to make 34hp and a mind-bending 330 ft-lb of torque – that about double the amount of the new Triumph Rocket 3!

And yes, you guessed it, the F77 is the latest in a long line of electric motorcycles that are fighting for attention. Despite the image looking like a slimmed-down version of the ill-fated Arc Vector project (RIP), the F77 is an all-Indian project, looking to tap into India (and the rest of the world’s) lucrative sub-500cc motorcycle market.

The moody teaser image shown at the top gives us very little to go on in terms of detail – thankfully are American friends at Elektrek have got their digital crayons out and had a go at lightening the image for us.

What appears is a sleek looking naked, with a familiar, KTM Duke style front end arrangement, with a fuel tank and seat unit that all seem to be inspired by our Austrian friends. There is little in the way of spec on the website – they’re making us wait until November for that! Although they do claim the F77 include a 34hp capable of 0-60 km/h in 3.0 seconds. They also state that the diminutive machine will be packing a monstrous 450 Nm (330 lb-ft) of torque. If that’s true it’ll mean this tiddly machine will be putting out around double the amount of torque that the new Triumph Rocket 3 does.

With no details on price or UK/EU availability, we’ve set an alarm for the 13th of  November and will bring you more information when we have it.
