A first look at the inaugural ‘premium’ motorcycle from Super Soco’s new standalone electric brand VMoto has emerged, showing a sportsbike bodystyle and sharp, modern styling.

Though one of the many start-up companies to commit to developing zero exhaust emission urban transport methods ahead of a full switch to electric over the next 15 years, Super Soco is one of the better known.

Specialising in low displacement-equivalent naked motorcycles and scooters, Super Soco has its roots in Australia, though its models are built in China.

Now the company - known as VMoto Super Soco - is splitting its branding in half with VMoto becoming the prefix for a new range of larger, more ‘premium’ motorcycles and Super Soco focusing on the lower end of the market.

Officially launching at EICMA, VMoto is being targeted at European audiences, with the Stash earmarked as its first effort.

Though VMoto have released only a teaser image showing a chunky front headlight, patent drawings have since emerged.

While information on the model is scarce for now, the patents appear to show a compact-sized sportsbike with small wheels and a slender frame, as if to denote around 125-250cc equivalent from its electric motor.

More will be revealed in the run up to EICMA - which gets underway next week - with no doubt details about how VMoto will attempt to conquer the electric motorcycle market as keenly as it has in the scooter segment.

In addition to the VMoto Stash, Super Soco will reveal a limited edition scooter honouring its brand ambassador and three time MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo at EICMA
