ABS models available from November

YAMAHA has revealed the MT-125 and R125 will soon get the option of ABS brakes.
The 15hp ABS models will go on sale alongside the standard bikes and be offered in the same range of colours.
This year’s non-ABS MT-125 currently costs £3,899, only £100 cheaper than a 2014 KTM Duke 125 which comes fitted with ABS as standard.
The recently launched KTM RC 125 costs £4,499 with ABS as standard, only £150 more than the non-abs YZF-R125.
Yamaha is yet to confirm pricing - it will be interesting to see if the addition of ABS makes the duo more expensive than KTM's offerings.
The MT-125 ABS will be available from November 2014, the supersport YZF-R125 ABS will go on sale from January 2015.
