Zero-mile Honda NR750 for sale
Honda's early 90s complicated masterpiece. Yours, if you're loaded
A ZERO mile Honda NR750 has come up for sale.
Honda's oddball oval-pistoned RC40 was only produced in limited numbers, 300 to be precise. Only eight were officially imported to the UK and in 1992 they had a retail price of £38,000 which is £64,000 in today's money.
The NR featured a 90-degree V4 four-stroke, with eight valves per cylinder. It only produced 120bhp at a heady 14,000rpm and it weighed a hefty 222kg.
Loris Capirossi set the flying mile, kilometre and 10km record on a lightweight NR at the Nardo ring, but that's about the only record the NR can lay claim to.
The zero-mile NR is up for £109,000 but if you can't quite stretch to that, a quick scan shows there are two others out there too; a 5,000-mile minter for £100,000 or one with just 2,650 miles on the clock for a bargain £89,999.
