UP TILL now, if you wanted to have cornering headlights on a bike, you had to shell out for one of the new breed of high-tech machines, a Kawasaki H2 SX SE or KTM 1290 Super Adventure or the like. But a small high-tech startup firm is promising a clip-in replacement headlight bulb which will do a similar job through a self-levelling mechanism.

The ALL, or Always Level Light may have a rubbish name, but it looks like a cunning device. It’s a replacement LED projector light, with a gimbal mount and some sort of mini-gyro mechanism to keep it parallel with the ground. The folks behind it reckon it improves forward vision at night, without dazzling other road users, which seems like a good plan.

For H4 bulbs, it’s a straight bulb swap job, but for H7 and H1 they need you to take the headlight apart, which sounds like a bit of a faff. The bulb keeps low/high beam operation, and uses the stock wiring.

It's currently a Kickstarter campaign, so is looking for crowd funding to get initial production started. Check it out on the Kickstarter site here.
